Introducing LancasterWall

LancasterWall is Lancaster’s first, and only purpose built bouldering wall brought to you by the Lakeland Climbing Centre Ltd.  Using our 25 years of experience running climbing facilities, LancasterWall aims set new benchmarks in terms of accessibility, quality of climbing and standard of environment, irrespective of whether you have never bouldered before or you are a seasoned pro. LancasterWall features  over 700 square meters of climbing surface with walls of all angles; ranging from shallow slabs to extreme overhangs. In addition to our normal climbing walls the Centre will also feature a traverse wall, modern training area, on-site café and shop.

 

CURRENT ROLES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Team Member

  •  30-40hrs per Week

Each member of the LCC team has a primary site where they work the majority of their shifts. There may be occasional shifts at other sites as required.

 

THE ROLE

Team Member: Working with the Duty Manager to provide a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. You are expected to provide an exceptional level of customer service in all Centre operations. Additional to reception, tasks will include cleaning and administration. As your experience develops there may also be the opportunity to train in instruction and route setting.

 

No prior climbing wall experience required; however, you must have a keen interest in climbing and developing on the job.

 

CURRENT RATES OF PAY:

Team Member – National Minimum Wage

 

Travel costs for occasional work at another Lakeland Climbing Centre site and for the initial training at a different site, would be covered through expenses payments. For multi-site work, the extra travel costs would be considered part of a pay settlement.
